RCFSQA Conducts Two-Day Safety Training for Laboratory Users and Staff
The Office of the Bicol Regional Center for Food Safety and Quality Assurance, headed by Director Maria Crispina P. Baltazar, successfully conducted a two-day safety training titled, “The Safety Equation – People + Process = Protection: Safety Training for Food Laboratory Users and Building Personnel” on November 20–21, 2025, at the BU College of Engineering – Electrical Engineering Building. The training was designed for Food Laboratory users and RDE personnel, focusing on safety awareness and proper procedures in laboratory and building environments.

A safety drill was held at the HERRC Building, BU East Campus, EM’s Barrio, Legazpi City, featuring the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” maneuver and a demonstration of proper fire extinguisher use using the TPASS method, highlighting the University’s commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of its personnel.
