OVPRDE Successfully Passes ISO 9001:2015 Recertification Audit

The Bicol University Office of the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (OVPRDE) successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 Recertification Audit conducted by SOCOTEC Philippines on November 7, 2025.

The audit was facilitated by Mr. Kim Allan S. Miranda from the SOCOTEC Philippines audit team. The team was led by Ms. Mercedelin Flores, with Mr. Kim Allan S. Miranda, Ms. Gemachita M. Telan, and Ms. Catherine Sigua serving as co-auditors.

During the audit, the team examined documents, interviewed personnel, and evaluated the effectiveness of the OVPRDE’s quality management system. In line with the SOCOTEC audit plan, the OVPRDE audit sampling covered the following divisions:

• Research, Development, and Management Division (RDMD)
• Publication and Knowledge Management Division (PKMD)
• Extension Management Division (EMD)
• Intellectual Property Management Division (IPMD)

This milestone affirms OVPRDE’s continued compliance with international quality management standards and its commitment to ensuring efficiency and excellence in research, development, and extension operations.
