CONNECT TO CREATE PROGRAM

Bicol Region is among the Philippines’ key areas with a thriving sector of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These businesses span diverse industries, including wearables, home essentials, and processed food. These sectors play a vital role in boosting the country’s economy by generating employment opportunities, reducing unemployment rates, and contributing to both local and national government revenues.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with Bicol University through FAB LAB Bicol and BIDA completed a project aimed at supporting processed food and handicraft manufacturers, particularly micro-producers from selected MSMEs in Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Masbate, and Catanduanes – this initative was entitled “Connect to Create V2.0.
