Anchored in its function to organize training programs and advocacies that improve policy-oriented research, the CPSD organized a three-day training for 33 faculty representatives from partner State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Bicol Region. The training was held on July 28–30, 2025, at Hotel Inigo, Legazpi City, and was attended by representatives from Catanduanes State University (CatSU), Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT), Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Sorsogon State University (SorSU), Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), Camarines Norte State College (CNSC), and Bicol University (BU), along with the Department of Education (DepEd).

The training aimed to equip participants with skills in impact evaluation, specifically in assessing the effectiveness and community impact of their assigned extension projects. Speakers from Bicol University discussed qualitative and quantitative methodologies, while representatives from partner SUCs showcased completed extension projects. The event featured hands-on workshops using JASP software for data analysis and sessions on developing impact evaluation proposals. Participants engaged in group work, presenting their analyses and refining strategies for future program assessment.
